Waka Nusa Resort is one of the small boutique resort located on Nusa Lembongan. The resort can be reached within an hour sailing from Benoa Harbour or Sanur. It nestles within a few minutes walk to the nearby villages on the island. Waka Nusa Resort offers peace and comfort in the tranquility atmosphere with a spectacular ocean view of the Bali Ocean. It is a perfect place to start exploring the beautiful under water world or just relax around the un-spoilt beaches.

Each lanai is set out with private garden of tropical flowers whose delicate scents color the cooling breeze and the evening air. The Waka Nusa Resort also provides wide range of activities to make your holiday a memorable one. The resort reflects the unique Balinese style thatched room bungalows with modern touch. There are 10 spacious bungalows available at Waka Nusa Resort spreads amongst the coconut groves through the white sandy beach of Tanjung Sanghiang.

The Resort
The Resort has 10 bungalows built amongst a palm tree plantation edging the white sand beach of “Tanjung Sanghiang” a turquoise lagoon and coral reef with the “Segara” temple and its centuries old Kapok tree as its setting.

The architecture is inspired from the romantic round shaped buildings familiar to the Eastern Indonesian archipelago and a lot of the South Pacific island. Materials used are in harmony with the natural landscape and local tradition; Thatched roofs, Coral and earth pigmented wall rendering, fine wood joinery and traditional decoration.

During your stay at the resort, you will observe that the bay is a very active island port. Local perahus bringing everyday to the islanders building materials, food supplies, animals and of course tourists, the fishing boats are sailing away every morning around 2 AM and back by 7 AM. At the end of the day, the local people have a traditional “mandi” ( shower ) at the village baths located behind the Resort before joining the usual cockfight in front of the temple at 5 pm.

The Room
We don’t have air conditioning, intercom, TV set or telephone in the rooms – Waka Nusa we think different than most of the hotels in Bali. The resort is designed to blend in with the beauty of the islands culture but with comfort and security.

ACTIVITIES WITH ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Island Tour
This tour will make you know better the splendor of our island. First with a 1.5 hour trip by a traditional boat and then with a 2.5 hours trip overland.

Penida Tour
Boat journey to reach beautiful island of Nusa Penida and then after a short walk you will enjoy a swim in a natural swimming hole. You can also discover the bat cave –with traditional lighting.

Mangrove Tour
Discover the lush mangrove forest by a traditional canoe in complete silence.

Picnic at Dream Beach
Your lunch will be prepared in advance, there is a set up with an umbrella and mattress, drinks are provided in an ice box. All by yourself. Waka will provide you a light lunch of club sandwich, pizza and fruit slices. You want wines or beers, Waka will provide them upon request and will be happy to chill them for you.

Fishing
Come and join the local fisherman in the early morning on a traditional Jukung outrigger fishing boat to enjoy an extraordinary sunrise fishing trip. If you are lucky, you may hook some tuna that Waka can cook for you.

Surfing
Nusa Lembongan is well-known for surfing. Three reef breaks are considered top classes surf spots all around the world. Names such as Shipwrecks, Lacerations and Playgrounds have made it an ideal place for surfers since the 1970’s. The first two are very shallow reefs-breaks and suitable for experienced surfers. Playgrounds is an easier wave but still very dangerous at low tide with sharp corals. Waka staff will be very pleased to take you to catch some waves and to give you any information you may need to safely enjoy it. Board rental is available at the resort.

Snorkeling
Nusa Lembongan is a favorite place for underwater activities. The exceptionally crystal clear water hosts a myriad of marine life. Equipment for snorkeling is provided with no additional charge. Waka will take you by boat to a choice of four different locations to have an unforgettable snorkeling experience: Crystal Bay Point, Gamat Point, Toya Pakeh Point and Mangrove Point.
